A guide to minimalist swimwear

We were pleasantly surprised by the sudden onset of summer in Copenhagen last weekend. We spent a perfect day at beach and swam in the ocean for the first time this year. This is a rare treat for Scandinavians, considering it's still early May. It was the perfect start of the season, with one exception. I was stuck with the two poorly planned bikini purchases from last year. Wrong fit and subpar quality. So last summer I swore to make an effort to find the right bikini this summer. This year's beach wear will be styled with the Minimal mix & match earrings, Lock ring and a few other favorites, like these

The main objective was to find a simple design stripped of unnecessary details and hardware. Thoughtfully designed with the right fit and shape to ensure a flattering and firm fit. For most, and myself included, feeling confident and at ease is paramount.

And this is where the idea to make this guide comes in;
As it turns out, the selection of minimalist swimwear is much bigger and better than anticipated. And that is great news, but also a time consuming endeavour (it took two weeks of internet search and input from a few lovely people on Instagram). Hopefully the guide will save you time and make it easer to find your perfect fit of minimalist swimwear.

The picks are a selection of well designed bikinis and swimsuits. Most picks are from up-and-coming brands, meaning that the swimwear are designed and made locally. If you know of other good swimwear not mentioned in this guide, do let me know and send an email to info(at)stillwithyou.dk or Instagram @stillwithyoucph.
